Being grateful for abundance before we experience it may seem like putting the cart before the horse, but it's really all about realizing what we already have.
As more of this divine one that you are is seen, through you being deeply at rest at and as this one - instead of you being distracted by the movement and motion of you trying to be who you think you are - you learn to move from this "you" of you while the dance of life continues to be danced through this mindbody that you find yourself flowing through.
I recently sat down and looked at each of the 12 Steps of AA and tried to feel the essence of what each step is saying and calling for. There is an underlying theme for each step that I've felt inspired by whenever I read them, or talk about the steps with a client. Something about them has always struck me deeply, and did again when I was meditating on them. Here's how I've re-written the 12 steps:

Yoga meditation guidance was described thousands of years ago by ancient and mystical sages. Since civilized societies began to emerge, meditation has evolved into a structured practice. Although there is not a lot of recorded information dealing with the history of meditation, its roots can be traced back to ancient times.
The world we observe and participate in is a reflection of the thoughts we hold. This is our world. The helping, the hurting, the peacemaking, the war making, the blaming and the blessing are all reflections of us. The key to creating a more peaceful world lies in creating a more peaceful you.
This learning to be the immensity of this "you" of you is not a method and nor is it a practice - it is the way of the infinity of the one that you truly are; it is completely and utterly natural. It has you free immediately - not in some distant future of a "now" that may arise somewhere on the horizon.
